How to use a Hearing Aid?

1. Identify Left and Right Devices

  • Most hearing aids are color-coded: Red = Right ear, Blue = Left ear.

2. Insert the Hearing Aid

  • BTE (Behind-The-Ear): Place the device behind your ear and gently insert the earmold or dome into your ear canal.
  • RIC (Receiver-In-Canal): Place the receiver wire in your ear and tuck the main unit behind your ear.
  • ITE/CIC (In-The-Ear): Gently push the hearing aid into your ear canal until it fits snugly.

3. Turn It On

  • For battery-operated models, close the battery door.
  • For rechargeable models, press the power button or remove from the charger (auto on).

4. Adjust Volume and Programs

  • Use manual buttons or a mobile app to change volume, environment modes, or switch between presets (e.g., noisy, quiet).

5. Check for Comfort and Feedback

  • Ensure the device fits comfortably. If you hear whistling (feedback), it may not be inserted correctly or may need adjustment.

6. Pair with Your Smartphone (Optional)

  • Follow the manual to connect via Bluetooth for call streaming, music, or control via an app.

7. Daily Cleaning & Care

  • Wipe with a dry cloth, clean wax guards regularly, and store in a dry place or dehumidifier when not in use.
